What is available today
Check these limitations before downloading or purchasing.
Supported Macs
Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or later. Distribution is outside the App Store. Intel Macs and Windows are not supported.
Updates
There is no in-app updater yet. Download the latest DMG and replace the app in Applications.
Connected services
Gmail is a technical-preview connection: your own Composio key and user ID, plus consent to third-party inbox processing, are required. Calendar, Drive, Slack, Notion, GitHub, and Linear are coming soon in the default build.
Context freshness
After switching windows, captured context and suggested actions may take a few seconds to catch up. Check the source before using a generated answer.
Chat and live tools
Chat uses local memory and captured context. Live connected-tool calls in chat are not available yet; do not rely on chat for a current calendar or inbox answer.
Morning Brief and nightly review
The current summary and state classification use local extraction and rules. Model-written Briefs and automatic identity consolidation are not available yet.
Meeting notes
Live captions need your own speech-provider key. Typed notes remain available without it. Network interruptions can create gaps in captions; false meeting offers are still being refined. SHOGUN does not save audio files.
Visual recall
Off by default. When enabled, screenshots are held in the encrypted local memory store for a finite period: 1–7 days or a custom duration up to 3,650 days. The default is 3 days. At 2 GiB, new frames stop; age-based deletion continues. Screen Recording permission is optional for text capture through Accessibility.
Agents
Install and sign in to a supported vendor CLI, then opt in in Settings, or provide an API key. SHOGUN does not import another app’s stored login credentials.
Memory API
Available on Pro and during an active trial. State-change proposals are unavailable until durable proposals and their confirmation UI are implemented.
Help and billing
Use Settings → Help → Contact support. Purchase receipts do not contain your licence key: save it from the purchase success page. If automatic activation does not finish, include the invoice number in your support request, never the key.
